The PaperBark Story

The PaperBark story began in 2011 when Aussie artist Daniel Parsons and his then fiancee Lyndsey were thinking about their own upcoming wedding. With so many guests being invited from around the world, they wanted a way to share a glimpse of the wedding with everyone. Putting Dan’s watercolour skills to work and incorporating an original painting of the ceremony venue seemed the perfect solution.

Soon friends began asking where they could get such beautiful and individual stationery and it seemed that people wanted an chance to tell their own love story through art…and so PaperBark was born.

Today PaperBark creates beautiful stationery for people all over the world.

Daniel Parsons is the creative force behind Paper Bark. Having worked in commercial design for over 18 years and loved painting even longer, it was his own big day that gave him the idea to use these skills to create beautiful wedding stationery (…Ok, so his ‘wife to be’ might have instigated it). Daniel is never far away from his sketch book and even closer by is his trusty side kick ‘Einstein’, the miniature schnauzer and Paper Barks’ chief trouble maker!

Lyndsey Parsons is Daniel’s wife and best friend.

Admin tasks and to-do lists are her speciality. Lyndsey is obsessed with wedding styling and trends and uses Paper Bark as an excuse to be able to spend many hours drooling over wedding loveliness on Pinterest …for research purposes of course!!

A little Miniature Schnauzer with a mighty big heart. When things get busy and we’re in a frenzy, Einstein always keeps us calm. Our daily walks on the beach are a constant source of inspiration and ideas. If you come for a consultation you may hear him want to come out and say hello.
